Some years back a friend asked what I would do if I had some time to myself. The answer was simple, "Go and find people!". As you explore this archive I'm sure you'll see that I've done just that! Over the years my desire to get to know people has motivated me to learn both Mandarin Chinese and Vietnamese. Though I am far from fluent in either, I really enjoy interacting with people in their mother tongue. Over the past 17 years I have lived in China, India, Mongolia, the Philippines, the United States and Vietnam.
