Locally known as "Tet Trung Thu", the Mid Autumn Festival is a special time for children... So much so that it's even called the Children's Festival by some. The origins of this festival are said to be in the harvesting of crops. Parents were so busy with the harvest that the children had to play alone. The Mid Autumn Festival allowed parents to express their love and appreciation for their kids after the harvest.
